The MyQ Smart Garage Door Opener was the smart home device by Chamberlain I didn’t know I needed.
Opening garage doors can easily be achieved in a number of ways: manually without a garage door opener, garage door opener button inside, one in your car and even an outside keypad.
Having a new option to do it from a phone provided unexpected convenience that proved to be great. It’s great because when going for walks I no longer need to carry house keys, I can simply leave through the garage and use my phone to close it. What surprised me the most was how many times I’ve used the garage door opener to allow delivery people to leave packages inside my garage while I’m not home. There have even been some cases where I’ve been able to let friends and family in remotely while I’m still heading home from running an errand.
The most important thing here is how easy it was to install. There’s no electrical work required, simply pair the MyQ hardware with a compatible garage door opener and then sync the MyQ with your phone.
