According to Ubuntulife they’ve received word that Samsung is working on the successor of the Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Note 2. The Note 2 is expected to release this year in October and will come with a 5.5″ 1680×1050 display with 360ppi. The reason for no HD display according to Ubuntu is that Samsung decided that since the human eye can’t see clearer than 300ppi, then an HD display is pointless. The screen will also be Super AMOLED (no Plus) with PenTile matrix since it lasts longer and consumes less power than an RGB AMOLED display. Pictured above is a mock up of what the device could look like, think similar to the Galaxy S3 but bigger. No word on processor type but it’s predicted to run an Exynos 5250, with 1.5 GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and the international version of the device will also ship with LTE technology. Do you think this could be real?
