It’s not too often your computer’s CPU might encounter overheating issues, but if it does then you’re in trouble. Sure you can try to use your computer but you’re risking destroying your processor and that could amount to hundreds of dollars worth of damage (thousands for extreme builds) and it would only cost you about $20 to fix. It’ll involve you having to open your computer, disconnect the power connection to your processor’s fan, removing the old thermal paste and applying the new one.
