The OnePlus One smartphone is shaping up to be an amazing smartphone priced under $400. The OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has previously given spec details of the upcoming One smartphone on the company public forum and this time he’s given details about the camera. On the back will be a Sony Exmor IMX214 lens with a 13MP CMOS sensor. The camera will also have a large aperture of f/2.0. Pete explains that cameras on phones with large apertures tend to have a problem of having pictures distorted around the edges because they usually have 5 lenses whereas the One will have a 6th lens to correct that problem and improve low lighting captured pictures and videos.
They’ve also included Image Stabalization Plus (IS+) technology which should help with shaky footage and reduce noise. In terms of video recording the rear camera will have 4K (2160p) recording capability and 720p slow-motion recording at 120fps.
As for the front-facing camera it’ll be 5MP. I’m personally hyped about this phone considering it’s price tag, what about you? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
